The Samoan "siva" is
a fantastic mix
of grace and power. If you are invited for a dance, forget your past and
let your friends have a good laugh.
Samoa
has managed to keep the traditional culture more genuine than in
most other countries in Polynesia and "Fa'a Samoa" has a
strong influence on the daily life. The village is ruled by the
Fono (village council) consisting of the "Matai"
(village chiefs).
In the Samoan parliament, every village is
represented by a Matai.
The Samoans
are known for their hospitality and have a friendly attitude towards
visitors and a few visitors actually get tired of all the smiling
faces everywhere.
