Itinerary: Four Days Tour

The itinerary below is only one example of what we offer. Due to varying weather and ocean conditions, we'll have to make the final decision just the days before or even on the day of the tour.

Itinerary

Aleipata and the south coast of Upolu island: offshore islands, beaches, rocky coast, turtles and mangroves.

Click on Aleipata Map to view a topographical map covering the first two days and Safata Map to view a similar map covering the last two days.

Day 1: We start the tour kayaking over to Namua island, a little beautiful offshore island. A guided walk around the island (1 hour) is offered for those who want to see the wild eastern side of the island. We have our lunch at the little resort on the island where we also spend the night. We paddle to the uninhabited Fanuatapu island, climb the mountain (15 minutes walk) to watch the bird life and the sea turtles swimming outside the island. We paddle back to Namua island, outside the reef or in the lagoon depending on weather conditions and clients fitness/experience. Back on Namua island we relax and enjoy the dinner cooked by our host family. If you want a cold beer (recommended) we can arrange that for you. We spend the night at Namua Beach Fales. Topo-map

Day 2: After breakfast we offer a trip out on the open ocean to watch the turtles from the kayak (OK also for beginners). We finish the second day at Lalomanu, the south-eastern point of Upolu island, a great place for swimming and snorkelling. We spend the second night at Taufua Beach Fales, Lalomanu. Topo-map

Day 3: We travel overland to Maninoa, launch our kayaks and paddle west along the south coast to Sa’anapu village. We spend our third night at Virgin Cove Resort. Topo-map

Day 4: After breakfast we discover the secluded beaches and a little offshore island west of Sa’anapu. In the afternoon we paddle in to the mangrove conservation area. Topo-map

The tour includes an overland transport, just so that you can get to the most interesting places.
